“Shopaholic” Series

I’m obsessed with these books. Great summertime pool or airplane reading. I read all five while we were on vacation in Miami, then in the next week read everything else Sophie Kinsella ever wrote. Her new book is called “Remember Me?” Very cute.

“August Rush”

Some people didn’t love it, but I thought it was very romantic and lovely. Robin Williams is whatever. I don’t really get why he was in it, but its a tear-jerking fantasy and the music is brilliant.

“The South Beach a.k.a. The Splendito”

I became addicted to these poolside at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. Basically a diet Mojito.Fill a glass with ice. Tear about a half-a-handful of mint leaves, drop ‘em in. Add 2 packets of Splenda. Fill glass with Bacardi Light and and shake the piss out of it. You can also ‘jackhammer’ it with a spoon. Top with a little club soda. Yum-O!

Salt-N-Pepa “Very Necessary”

With summer almost totally here, please go back and jam to this in your car or on the subway. You wont be sorry. I particularly enjoy the spoken tag at the end of “None of Your Business.” Classic.
